Totally Adult open in Caloundra

Last Monday we opened our doors to the latest Totally Adult store in Caloundra. We've noticed many of our customers drive from Caloundra to our Maroohcydore store and were keen to have the same range of adult products locally. The support for the new store has been outstanding and we're thrilled to be servicing Caloundra.

Less thrilling was this mornings Sunshine Coast Daily headline of "Illegal Sex Shop Allowed to Trade". The headline may of sold papers but the article inside painted a much more accurate picture that featured quotes from owner Mark Bryant; "We take away the sleazy aspect and try to break the preconceived ideas".

Totally Adult isn't new to the adult industry we've been in the business a long time and we pride ourselves in the way we operate our stores. We don't open stores next to schools, we open them in appropriate locations, our Caloundra store is next to a pub. And we we don't flaunt any of our stock in the windows as they remain covered, this gives the public a choice if they want to see our stock. If your car has troubles you visit a mechanic, if your sex life has troubles you visit an Adult Shop.

TheDaily.com.au also has an article about the new store titled Adult Shop Remains Open. Thanks to everyone who commented on the article, and voted on the poll "Is Bulcock Street OK for a sex shop?". What brings me to another point, we're not a Sex Shop, brothels sell sex, we're an Adult Shop we retail Adult Products.

had to laugh, walking to work this morning I passed a lingerie shop in the centre of Brisbane that has posters and advertising material in the window that would not look out of place in a mens' magazine - and people are worried about a nondescript adult shop at the quiet end of town?

Whats the big deal here? The Adult shop is not a brothel......I've seen more risque looking lingerie in speciality lingerie shops as well as Myer. There for all too see, at least the Adult shop usually has a blacked out window so that people cant see in and possibly get offended.
